In a new research paper by the Bank of England, researchers argue that, if left unregulated, securities settlement services built on distributed ledger technology (DLT) could turn into de facto monopolies.

Beyond market leader bitcoin, the rating agency will issue grades for ether, Ripple’s XRP, bitcoin cash, Litecoin, and many others.
