RBC recently announced that Richard Sutton, renowned artificial intelligence expert, will be joining the bank to support its research on machine learning. While RBC hasn’t announced the exact details of how this research will be used, machine learning could have implications on core back-end capabilities such as risk management and fraud detection, as well as client-facing products and services like wealth management.
